Wisconsin Poet Laureate Brenda Cárdenas recently visited Beloit Public Library for a special poetry presentation and reading.
Unfortunately, severe storms moved through the area that evening and kept attendees from making it to the library. While we missed the opportunity to gather in person, we were grateful to record the presentation so the community can still experience this special program.
Cárdenas, an award-winning poet, writer, and educator, shared her work and insight as part of her role as Wisconsin Poet Laureate. Her presentation offers a meaningful opportunity to hear from one of Wisconsin’s leading literary voices and to celebrate the power of poetry to connect people, stories, cultures, and communities.
