Honoring a Legacy

It is with deep appreciation and gratitude that we announce the retirement of Ken Forbeck, President of the Beloit Public Library Foundation. Before joining the Foundation Board in 2016, Ken was instrumental in the library’s move to its current campus at 605 Eclipse Boulevard in 2009, where he spearheaded the capital campaign until he had to relinquish the Campaign Chair title due to his new role as Circuit Court Judge for Rock County. However, Judge Forbeck continued to actively support the library, contributing valuable insights during his tenure on the Beloit Public Library Board. Ken has been an integral part of our library’s journey, serving on the Beloit Public Library Board and then on the Beloit Public Library Foundation Board. We express our deepest gratitude to Ken Forbeck for his unwavering dedication, vision, and lasting impact on Beloit Public Library.

Completing a Legacy of Service

In recognition, we extend heartfelt appreciation to Steve Vavrus, a Foundation board member for an impressive nine years and Treasurer for six of those nine years. Steve’s commitment shaped our financial landscape, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability. His expertise and dedication have left an indelible mark on the foundation’s endeavors, and we are immensely grateful for his invaluable contributions. As we bid farewell to this chapter, we express our deepest thanks to Steve Vavrus for his outstanding service, wishing him continued success in all his future endeavors.
