At Beloit Public Library, we believe in the power of community—and we know that volunteers play a vital role in helping us fulfill our mission to provide enriching and inspiring learning experiences for all. Whether you enjoy organizing, sharing a love of reading, or serving those who can’t visit the library in person, there’s a place for you here!

We’re currently looking for community members to join us in the following volunteer roles:

📚 Adopt-a-Shelf
Be one of our behind-the-scenes heroes! Adopt-a-Shelf volunteers help keep our shelves neat and in order—both alphabetically and by the Dewey Decimal System. This flexible opportunity asks for just one hour a week and can be done on your schedule.

📖 Bookleggers
Bring the joy of reading to local third graders through our Bookleggers program. Volunteers visit classrooms, share stories, and help build lifelong literacy skills—culminating in a special field trip to the library.

📦 Homebound Delivery
Support community members who are unable to visit the library due to age or disability. Volunteers can help select materials or deliver and pick up items, providing connection and service to neighbors in need.

Ready to get started?
Apply online today or reach out with any questions. Contact Jill at (608) 364-5713 or email volunteer@beloitlibrary.org.
Your time and talents can make a real impact—thank you for considering joining our team!
