We know you love the look, feel, and smell of books … but have you tried our digital library yet? Whether you received a new electronic device for the holidays, prefer to avoid going out in the cold, or need heaps of reading material for a vacation, our digital library is a convenient resource for library users. Borrowing digital materials doesn’t mean you’ve turned your back on print. Many digital library users love both hardcopy and digital!

Our digital library is available to library card holders and includes eBooks, eAudiobooks, eComics, TV Shows, Movies, and Music Albums. The cost is free, and there are no late fees since materials automatically return and delete themselves from your device when the checkout period expires.

You can access these materials via three free websites/apps: Libby, OverDrive, and Hoopla. Each one requires your library card, internet connection, and an internet-enabled device like a computer, tablet, eReader, or smartphone. You can choose to stream the content using your device’s data or WiFi connection, or you can download the title when you’re on WiFi to enjoy offline later.

Take a look at the graphic below to see what types of materials are available on these three platforms. More information is available at www.als.lib.wi.us.

Give digital a try. … You’ll like it!
