Friends at Beloit Library (FABL) will host its huge used book sale October 19-21 in the Community Room at Beloit Public Library (BPL), located at 605 Eclipse Boulevard.
Sale hours will be:
Thursday, October 19, 2-6 p.m.
Friday, October 20, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Saturday, October 21, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Hardcover books will be priced at $0.50 each. Paperbacks, media, and all children’s books will be $0.25 each. Saturday is “Bag Day,” with each paper sack of books priced at only $1.00. Bags will be provided.
FABL is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization that raises funds through the sale of discarded library books and donated books during its (now semi-annual) warehouse clearance sales, as well as daily sales within the library. Proceeds are returned to the library for special projects and programs for adults and children. In 2023, FABL approved a donation of $20,330 to BPL.
Thousands of books, movies, and music will be available in a large variety of genres, from non-fiction to popular fiction. Books have been piling up in storage for quite a while and now there is a huge quantity of them to sell at basement-bargain pricing.
FABL accepts donations of books, movies, and media year-round. Items that are clean and in good condition can be donated at the front desk of the library; ask any staff for assistance.
