Thanks to the extraordinary leadership of our Capital Campaign Committee and the generosity of early supporters, Discovery PLAYce has already surpassed its original fundraising goal of $4.15 million what we expect it will cost for the physical construction of the space—even before the public campaign is fully underway.
This is a major milestone, and it reflects how strongly our community believes in creating a high-quality early learning environment for children and families. We are continuing the campaign to ensure Discovery PLAYce is not only built, but built for long-term success. Additional funds will support key priorities that extend beyond initial construction, including:
- Wish List enhancements that elevate hands-on learning experiences (including features like the giant Lite-Brite wall);
- Renewal and upkeep of Learning Play Stations and their components through regular fixing, replacement, and rotation; and
- Community outreach efforts that take Discovery PLAYce beyond the building and into neighborhoods, programs, and partner spaces across the community.
