For the second year, Beloit Public Library and Stateline Community Foundation are teaming up to present a civic education series titled Know Your Local Government. It will focus on Property Taxes.

Community residents are invited to spend their lunch hour at the library and hear from the taxing districts to learn where their property taxes go and how each group uses it: City of Beloit, Blackhawk Technical College, Rock County, School District of Beloit, and School District of Beloit Turner. New this year is the addition of a presentation from Wisconsin Policy Forum regarding state school funding.
