Beloit Public Library Changing Check-Out Times and New Materials Classification

Beloit Public Library is changing check-out times for its television series and sets, as well as the time materials are categorized as new.
DVDs
Check-out time for DVD television series and sets with three or more disks will now be two weeks to align with other libraries within the SHARE Consortium. Previously, these items checked out for three weeks, although most patrons returned them within a two-week period. The check-out time for non-fiction DVDs will remain three weeks.
Moving to a two-week check-out for these sets aligns Beloit Public Library with the majority of the SHARE system – thus eliminating confusion for patrons. It also makes materials available for others to check out sooner, so wait times are shorter.
New Materials
In addition, new materials are now rotated into the regular collection after three months. Previously, items stayed in the New Materials Area for one year.
