The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s contract with Beanstack is expiring April 30, 2025. This resource was added during the Covid Era as an electronic way for readers to record their reading and for libraries to track patron reading for challenges and prizes.

Most Beloit Public Library patrons prefer a paper record, so we have not promoted or used Beanstack in recent years and therefore intend to let this resource expire.

When the Beanstack contract expires, any users will lose access to their accounts and individual reading data.

If you have used Beanstack to track your personal reading and don’t want to lose the information, you will need to print your reading logs by April 30 before access to the resource expires. See below for instructions.

How to print your reading log

From the web, readers are able to print their all-time reading log or their challenge log by following the steps below.

To print their all-time reading log, instruct the reader to log in and click the Reading Log tab. From either the Reading Log or All Titles pages, they should click the Print Log button in the upper righthand corner of their screen.

To print their challenge log, from the reader homepage, click the desired challenge and then click Challenge Log. From there, they should click the Print button in the upper righthand corner of their log.

When clicked, this opens in a printer-friendly view and includes a list of book titles, without book cover images.
