Get Ready to Play with Purpose!
Five years in the making, Discovery PLAYce is a brand-new, 6,000-square-foot interactive early learning and family engagement destination located right inside Beloit Public Library.
Step into a child-sized world inspired by the Beloit community, where hands-on play encourages children to imagine, explore, create, move, solve, and discover. From a bustling farmers market and construction site to a community kitchen, wellness clinic, and so much more, every corner offers a new adventure!
But Discovery PLAYce is more than a place to play. Each learning station is intentionally designed to encourage early literacy, problem-solving, creativity, and meaningful connections between children and their caregivers. It’s a place where learning happens naturally through play, helping young children build important skills for school—and life.
And here’s the best part: Discovery PLAYce is FREE and always will be!
Thanks to the generosity of roughly 250 donors who contributed to a $4.15 million fundraising campaign, this incredible community resource is now a reality.
A Special Musical Treat: Red Grammer!
Get ready to sing, dance, and smile! Nationally acclaimed children’s entertainer Red Grammer will perform a special concert from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. during the grand-opening celebration.
A Grammy-nominated and Parents’ Choice Award-winning artist, Grammer is known for his uplifting songs about kindness, friendship, and the joy of being a kid. His engaging performances have delighted families across the country, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to Beloit Public Library!
The concert is FREE, just like the rest of the day’s festivities.
