NEA Big Read - Stateline-Pop-Up Exhibit: Voices & Photos from Home

Saturday, October 1, 2016 - 1:00pm to 3:00pm

For all ages.

Running from mid-September to mid-October, the NEA Big Read-Stateline aims to build community around events related to a book. We encourage everyone to read Into the Beautiful North by Luis Alberto Urrea. Immigration, migration, crossing borders, heroism, friendships, the influence of films, and life changes are all covered in this wonderful book. Many of these themes are embodied in the development of the United States, a country built by people who left one home to create another.

The NEA Big Read-Stateline invites you to be a part of "Voices and Photos from Home,"a multimedia installation at the Beloit Public Library.  On October 1, please bring a copy of a photo that represents what home means to you. Or bring your original photo and we will photocopy it. Your photos will be displayed until the end of the Big Read.
