The Welty Environmental Center and the Roy Chapman Andrews Society present a program in celebration of the Distinguished Explorer Award. Learn about the Amazon rainforest and how the plants have shaped the indigenous cultures found there.

No Fines Monday!

We're celebrating National Library Week with a gift for you! Return your overdue items without incurring fines! Whether it's a day late or 10 years late, all items returned inside the library during business hours on Monday will be checked in as if they'd been turned in on time.

Note: Items returned via our book return outside (drive thru) will still incur fines. This does not effect preexisting fines/fees, only items that are currently checked out.

"The Bear and the Owl" Card-Making Workshop

Join us at the Beloit Public Library for a card-making workshop in conjuction with the Beloit International Film Festival documentary, "The Bear and the Owl." We will be making cards to give to children at Beloit Memorial Hospital. To register for this event, please call 608-364-2905 or come to the reference desk.

Screenings of "The Bear and the Owl" will be shown at Bushel and Peck's on February 24 and March 3 at 7:30pm and Bagels & More on February 25 at 2:30pm.


FABL Book Sale

Friends at Beloit Library (FABL) Book Sale in the warehouse located on the first floor of the Beloit Public Library. New books have been added. Adult hardcover books are 50 cents and paperbacks & all children's books are 25 cents. Hope to see you there!

Pat Bryan - Children's Author Visit

Join Beloit's very own Pat Bryan as she discusses her love of horses and her book Shoes for Horses. Kids will see horseshoeing equipment and will learn how horses are shoed.

This hands-on experience is co-sponsored by the School District of Beloit and is a FREE event for all ages.
