Meet the Author: Jim Thompson

There are many sheep in the world, but maybe none quite like PEANUT, the star of the heartwarming true story, “Peanut of Blind Faith Farm” written by Wisconsin author, Jim Thompson. The book is described as a delightful book for adults and children alike. Peanut was a tiny lamb born blind, when hobby farmer Jim and his wife helped her survive and thrive.

Hoo's Woods Raptor Program

For ages 5 and up. Join Dianne Moller, a licensed educator, falconer, rehabilitator, eagle handler, and founder of Hoo's Woods Raptor Center in Milton, as she shares the behaviors of different birds of prey, how the environment and other ecological changes affect their survival, and what we can do to help these amazing birds. She will be bring a golden eagle and three other raptors to our event.

Learn about the Caldecott Award, enjoy a snack, and enter for a chance to win your favorite book! Hands-on art activity stations will be a fun way to spend an afternoon with the family.
